Use the freshvac container system to help organize your pantry! Because freshvac is available in so many sizes, it’s easy to have a well-organized pantry. freshvac’s see-through features stack and store compactly. No more digging through mystery containers to see what’s inside. A well-organized pantry saves time assembling your grocery list and simplifies food preparation.

It is perfect for organizing your pantry because of the following characteristics:

Durable

Easy to seal

Easy to label containers using dry erase marker or grease pencil

Straight sides, making stacking easy, good looking

See-through containers

Pantry Organization tips:

freshvac containers, with their better than airtight system, extends the shelf life of foods, such as grains, nuts, dried fruit and snacks.

Separate the pantry by section. Stack freshvac containers for a baking section to include flours, sugars, etc.—a pasta section, and a snack section.

Consolidate multiple bags or boxes of the same item into just one container. For example, several types of pastas could be combined together in their original packaging in a large freshvac container. Nuts, dried fruits or cereals in combination are other examples. Easy to see. Easy to find.

With freshvac containers, cut out the top of the package label and leave it on top of the contents, identifying minute rice from cooking rice, for example.

Tips for refrigerating in freshvac:

The best way to store produce is in its natural state; but when convenience is important, clean, cut and store your fruits and vegetables in freshvac and refrigerate immediately.

freshvac’s crisper trays keep cut-up fruit and vegetables elevated from their natural juices or water from cleaning.

Condensation on a freshvac lid is normal, especially in the refrigerator. If large droplets occur, dry the lid and reseal. This will prevent moisture from affecting your food.

Herbs store beautifully in freshvac containers.

Foods for your freezer must have proper packaging material to protect their flavor, color, moisture content and nutritive value from the dry climate of the freezer. freshvac is perfect for freezing, because it has the following characteristics:

Durable and leak proof

Easy to seal

Easy to mark using dry erase marker or grease pencil.

Protects foods from absorption of off flavors or odors.

Will not become brittle or crack at low temperatures.

Straight sides, making stacking of foods in the freezer easier.

Moisture and vapor resistant.

Preparing food ahead of time and freezing in freshvac containers can save time, energy and money. When you are preparing a main dish, it takes only a little more effort and time to make enough for several meals. You can freeze large batches in meal-size freshvac containers, or serve part of the food immediately and freeze the rest. Consider freezing in freshvac:

Leftovers that cannot be used immediately.

Seasonal fruits and vegetables.

Foods that can be prepared in large quantities and portioned according to serving size.

TIPS FOR FREEZING

Be sure to leave adequate space at the top of the freshvac container to allow for freezing expansion.

Slightly undercook prepared foods before freezing in freshvac. They will finish cooking when reheated.

Plan to use frozen, prepared foods within a short time. Keep using foods from the freezer and replenish with fresh stock. This makes greater use of freezer space, lowers the cost per pound of food stores and keeps your store of food fresh.

A good policy to follow is "first in, first out." Rotate foods so that you use the older items first and enjoy your food at its best quality. A dry erase marker or grease pencil will work great for dating freshvac containers.

The temperature of the freezer should not go above 0° F. Fluctuating temperatures and temperatures above 0° F reduce quality of the freeze.

Foods that do not freeze well include mayonnaise, cream puddings and fillings, custard, gelatin salads, cheese, the whites of hard-cooked eggs and uncooked egg yolks, and gravies made with wheat flour.

Choose freshvac containers according to the number of servings you will want. A quart container (1000 ML) holds four to six servings; or our nearly 3 cup container (630 ML), two to three.

freshvac containers, with wide top openings, allow foods to be removed without thawing
